The Dress

This is the The Brighton Dress by Lela Rose from her Spring 2020 collection. This dress is a weighted satin crepe gown with a draped neckline and low back. The dress is a soft white, standard length, and was purchased in split sizing (details below) to accommodate a small waist and larger hips/booty.

When I purchased this dress in January of 2020 from a boutique in Denver, CO, I had some initial modifications made to the dress, specifically: added buttons through the end of the train, raised the back 2" to create a strapless dress. The dress does have spaghetti straps, so it could be worn either way. The dress does bustle.

I was able to wear this dress during 2 ceremonies, one outside and one at a museum. I wore it without a veil outside, and with a cathedral lace veil at the museum. This dress is elegant and classic, with a bit of sexy as it has a low back and is form fitting. I was very happy with this dress and would love to pass it on to someone else to love!

The dress has been professionally cleaned and is in great shape. The last photo provided (on the hanger) is the current state of the dress. While there is minor "wear and tear" to this dress, I would happily wear it again in its current state if I had an occasion.

Split Sizing:
- Bust: 8
- Waist: 8
- Low Hip: 14
(I wear a size small top and size 8/10 pants to help get a sense of "street" sizing.)

Alterations

Dress was altered slightly after receiving it to fit my body. The waist (size 8) and low hip (size 14) were both brought in.
