The Story

Looking for Cinderella for this dress fit for a tiny bride!

You will look like a princess walking down the aisle in this romantic ball gown that transcends the ages with its feminine and timeless design. This wedding dress is the perfect combination of classy and romantic, with several unique features: • The gown’s overall silhouette and sweetheart-shaped bodice provide figure-flattering curvature. • The sparkly, asymmetrical floral beading on the satin ruched bodice accentuates your waistline. • The scalloped lace trim along the bottom edge of the dress complements and mirrors the similarly shaped top edge of the sweetheart bodice, helping to nicely frame the dress. • The full-length skirt and beautiful chapel-length train feature organza fabric with floral embroidery and applique. • Multiple layers in the skirt give fullness to the dress. • And a line of buttons covers the back zipper closure.

MORE DETAILS:

Condition: Worn gently and just once, this dress was professionally cleaned in recent months by a company specializing in bridal gowns and is in such good condition that a manager at the cleaners said it's like the sample gowns she sees. The scalloped lace trim along the bottom edge of the dress has some slight fraying in places from brushing across the carpet and floor, but it is hardly noticeable without getting right up close and inspecting it. Stored in a 100-percent smoke-free home.

Accessories: The dress came with one tiny plastic pouch of extra beads and another tiny plastic pouch with a couple of satin straps with hooks already sewn onto them for attaching to eyes that could be sewn inside of the bodice, if the wearer preferred to wear the gown with straps rather than going strapless. The dress also comes with a simple 80” X 14” shawl of double-thickness fabric with seams down one long edge and each short end. I did not wear any of these accessories, so they are completely new and unused. These items are included in the price. Additionally, if you are interested, I would also be glad to include my veil, which I made.

Size: I discovered this dress at a bridal salon in Austin, Texas, available in a size 2 and selling for $1,500 before taxes. According to my receipt, when ordering, I selected the 58” length (the middle of three length options). Based on information I read online, I believe this is called the hollow-to-hem measurement, which apparently is what dress designers consider to be the ideal distance from the hollow of the wearer’s neck (between the collar bones) down to the front center point of the hemline (bottom of the dress). The dress’s front skirt length is 44” from front center of waistline seam to center bottom edge of lowest curved part of scallop lace on front bottom edge of skirt. I am 5’2”, and when I wore my 3.5” heels, the dress extended almost to the floor in front and was of course longer in the back due to the chapel train. My measurements -- Bust: 30" Waist: 23" Hips: 33"

Alterations and Improvements: After receiving the dress, I made an additional investment to have a professional seamstress add a gorgeous bustle, add bra cups, and take in the bodice a bit on both side seams but without cutting any fabric, so that the bodice could be let back out again in the future if desired. The train can be bustled using either three or five of the button-loop pairs. With the cost of these improvements, my investment in the dress exceeded $2,000. If I could have found this dress used in the condition mine is now for the price that I am asking, I would have snatched it up!

The primary photo was the maker's original model photo for this style, but all the other photos in my ad are of my actual dress for sale. I would be glad to share additional photos, information and details upon request to help you decide if this is the right dress for you. Shipping is extra, to be paid by buyer, and no returns or refunds, so please contact me if you have any questions at all.
