The Dress

The Matilda Dress is from the Milla Nova Royal Collection, inspired by the Italian Baroque period.
The dress is a timeless and classic off-the-shoulder mikado satin ballgown with a grand train. It was the first dress I tried on and after trying on many more different dresses, I came back to this dress. I’m so glad I did because it was an absolute dream!

The dress has an off the shoulder neckline with a bra-strap to hold the bodice into place. There are buttons down the back all the way to end of the train, but those are just for show since there is a zipper down the back (makes it very easy to take the dress on and off). The material is a beautiful, high quality ivory mikado satin, making it structured and elegant with its slight sheen. The best part of it all? It has pockets!

The dress made me feel like a true queen on the best day of my life and I hope someone will have the opportunity to have the dress of their dreams as well, for a much lower cost.

Worn and dry-cleaned once. Dry cleaning left some permanent dirt stains on the hem (see pics), so the low cost reflects that. If you happen to be shorter than me, are wearing flats, or want to shorten/cut off the train, the stains will be gone when you get it hemmed.

Purchased from Viero Bridal in NYC in 2021 in a size M/EU 38, which has the following measurements in inches:
Bust 36-38
Waist 29-30
Hips 39-40

Alterations

- Altered to my measurements [removed] but can be let out (see pics) to fit the size M measurements
- 4-point bustle added to the back of the dress
- Front of the dress was hemmed to my height of [removed]mm/3.93 inch heels; the length of the train was untouched
- Extra poof on the sides underneath the dress was removed for an A-line look rather than a ballgown
