The Dress

This gorgeous, timeless design by Jenny Packham is a fitted silk chiffon dress with delicate floral beaded appliques, sheer lace top and back, and crystal buttons at the back. The back has been altered to suit my style, so that the top of the back now has a curve that mirrors the curve at the bottom of the sheer lace.

This dress flows beautifully when worn, with a ribbon to slip around the wrist to hold up the train. It looks equally amazing when walking down the aisle, chatting with wedding guests after the ceremony and dancing into the evening. This well-crafted design can flatter many body types, and the dress is suitable for a day or evening ceremony.

There are some minor signs of wear on the dress. The elastic loop to insert the top button is a bit stretched, and can easily be replaced. A few of the beads on the train have fallen off, and there are some small marks at the bottom that the dry cleaners were not able to get off, though none of this is noticeable unless one is face-to-face with the bottom of the dress. Because of these small defects I have lowered the price of the garment compared to other versions on this site.

I loved this dress, it made me feel like an absolute Gilded Age princess, and I hope it can bring joy to someone else.

Alterations

Back has been altered to mirror the curve at the bottom of the sheer lace. This changes the style slightly, and also allowed the front of the dress to lie more flat across the chest.
