The Dress

Thinking back on this dress and our wedding is so much fun!

I had such a hard time finding a dress until I found this and bought her on the spot. Every time I look at this dress I feel incredible inside and out. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and received so many compliments - I honestly didn't know a dress could make me feel (and look) so amazing.

The high neck hand-beading is classy and modest yet sheer and sexy. The lace is beautiful! It's the perfect combination. I love the way it hugs the figure til the top of your butt and then falls away leaving you with that perky butt look but not super tight mermaid style. The dress is super light and it's soft and silky. The custom diamond back gives Jane Hill's Florence a stunning shape. I felt so comfortable from the moment I put it on. There is a small train at the back which is perfect for the ceremony and there's a hidden bustle for both the silk and sheer layers for the dance floor.

This dress was more than I planned to spend (I thought it was a bit ridic to spend so much on a dress but I honestly never found anything else I remotely liked. I tried on Grace Loves Lace on the Gold Coast, went to numerous Melbourne stores, started looking into making one, etc. Nothing felt right. I had a dress maker tell me my butt was too big. It was not a fun experience. I thought I would just have to settle for something. And now I look at this dress and I still think it is hands down a total stunner! I can't believe I'm selling it)

Measurements:
I usually think I'm a size 8-10.
I'm 74cm waist, 101cm widest part of the hips.
Bra size generally 10B-C but there's a bit of extra room in there for a 12C-D or you can pad it out if need be. There are in built cups. I don't usually go bra-less but felt totally fine with just the dress cups on my wedding day.
I'm 172cm tall. The front of the dress was just off the floor and the back has a small train. I wore barefoot sandals for the beach ceremony and then a 3cm heel for the dance floor.

Even now, I look at other dresses and I could not be happier with my choice. I felt more beautiful than I could have imagined possible and felt every dollar spent on this dress was worth it.
