The Dress

Beautiful corseted dress with lay overlays. Top is a sweetheart neckline with delicate lace cap-style shoulder. Cathedral train with the lace overlay on tulle draping down from the corset level organically. The original dress was without the beaded belt, which I had added and then was sewn onto the dress with a clean finish at the edge of the corset. No hemming of the length was done. The veil that I wore was a butterscotch colored horsehair veil with a simple comb clip which matches the color of the dress nearly perfectly. It comes with the dress unless you don't want it.

The side boning was cut down about an inch, so it didn't go quite as high up into the armpit for comfort. The lace shoulders were also altered to be a little shorter. The lace shoulder alterations were done by taking the individual pieces of lace off, and then reattaching them individually to the under tulle (hand done). The backplate under the corset was also brought over a bit to allow for a bit more room up top. The dress was double bustled (American under, French over to accent the lace), but a few of the loops pulled off during the reception. No damage to the dress fabric, just to the added bustle loops.
