The Dress

The gown was purchased from The Bridal Atelier in Melbourne for RRP AU$3450. I also paid an AU$400 rush fee because I ordered it only 3 months before my wedding day which was in March 2017.
I was complimented on how this dress moulded to my body, despite having no alterations made. The material is very forgiving and is so comfortable to wear.

The dress was professionally hemmed to fit my height. I am 175cm tall and wore 5cm high heels. The single button, to fasten the train, was also moved to suit my height and sits on the underside of the overlay to form a ‘French’ bustle. No other alterations were made. The dress has been professionally dry cleaned. There are still faint marks on the hem so this dress would ideally suit someone who is shorter than 180cm (including shoes) so it could be re-hemmed.
