The Dress

Embellished tulle and chantilly lace, strapless sweetheart natural waist A-line Gown.

This dress was purchased brand new from the Bisou Bridal store in Vancouver. It was worn for only a few hours during my wedding and is in pristine condition. I have had the dress dry cleaned and fully restored.

The style is an A-line lace chantilly tulle wedding dress with a strapless sweet heart. It has a gorgeous train and had a bustle added to the train. There are small crystals throughout the fabric and the color of the dress is a very light BLUSH; however it appears white in most lights. The tone is very flattering on pale skin tones as I found white was too harsh on my light skin.

I added my own design touch to the dress by having Bisou create an "over the shoulder/off the shoulder" detail as well. I receive so many compliments on my dress because it was incredibly unique.

The dress was purchased as a size 10. I am 5’4 and wore 5 inch heels for my wedding day.

I had boning to the inside of the dress to support my chest and create a more flattering waist line. I also added the custom sleeve detail with lace and tulle that I ordered directly from Monique Lhuillier.

I also hemmed the dress slightly but left it fairly long as I wore 5" heels on my wedding day and I am 5"4. I also had the dress taken in a couple of inches.

The alterations cost an additional 1000 on top of the 6k purchase price.
