The Dress

A simple, yet stunning gown which I just keep falling in love with over and over again on my special day. First of all, the material is luxurious to touch. The silk jacquard with its subtle print gives that ethereal and elegant look which is just exquisite. Most of all, it makes the gown so light which makes it easy to move around and really allowed me to enjoy my wedding to the fullest.

The silhouette with the strapless bodice and the hand bustled trumpet is just timeless and flattering. The way the fabric drapes on the dress looks so effortlessly gorgeous. I received so many compliments about the dress from my guests..

It is also such a versatile dress that you can totally dress up or down for your venue. We had a church / garden reception in the day so I wore the dress plain with a fingertip veil. I bought a crystal sash to embellish the dress for dinner. I had French bustles added for the reception so that I can dance away.

The dress is pretty much as I bought it except for a couple of small minor alterations:-
1. I added bra cups which were lightly sewn onto the inside of the dress. These can be easily removed.
2. I took in the top by 0.5-1 inch to fit me and also added non-slip trimming on the top of the bodice so that I felt comfortable dancing in them
3. French bustles added (so you can wear it with the full train or shorter for dancing)

I'm 5"6 and wore a 2 inch heel for my wedding
