The Dress

I found my dream dress at Bisou Bridal in Vancouver, BC. The 'Marlena' skirt is made from a buttery satin and consists of multiple floor length layers. The 'Ada' lace crop top has a boned corset which is attached to the beautiful lace overlay and a v-back detail.

On my wedding day it was important to me to be in something that could sit and dance in without feeling restricted. I felt both beautiful and comfortable in this 2-piece dress for my summer wedding in the South of France (it was 32 degrees celsius on our wedding day!)

I have the original receipt from Bisou bridal (dated March 2016) and I took possession of my dress in July 2016 for my early August wedding.

As you will see in the pictures of my wedding, I removed the sleeves from the lace top. The skirt was hemmed slightly and I'm 5'11 and wore flats on my wedding day. I am a very standard US 6 and didn't make any sizing alterations to the skirt or top.

I've had the dress professionally dry-cleaned and it's spotless!
