The Dress

This is a vintage white dress that has a beaded top, which extends down to a criss-crossed beaded waist, and a sheath style skirt with a silk top layer, and a slit up the back of the inner skirt layer to allow for movement.

It has straps and a higher neck, and is backless or open backed.

The silk skirt has a lovely flow to it, and the dress reaches the floor without a train.

This is a very unique dress that I bought at a used bridal store in Calgary. I never actually got to wear it as we ended up eloping instead and cancelling our wedding.

I had cups added to the top, since the open back makes it tough to wear a bra with it.

I had it taken in on the top and waist as much as possible to fit my size, however due to the intricacy of the beading it could not be taken it any tighter without significant cost, so if you are more slender than me or much smaller up top than me, I would not recommend it for you (I am 5 foot 4, 120 lbs). However if you are are a bit bigger than me or you are fuller up top then it would fit you better than it fit me! It can also be taken out again if need be.

The dress could be shortened further if you are shorter than me, however for me it is a still a bit long required high heels, so it could be worn on someone taller than me with lower heels and would not need to be altered, or a shorter person with really high heels.
