The Dress

This dress drew me in because of the antiqued gold embroidery, set with glittering Swarovski crystals, exquisitely hand stitched on the bodice and train.

The champagne color is a shimmery pale gold with a creamy peach sheen; it would suit a variety of complexions, is sophisticated and very unique. The silhouette is A-line when viewed from the front, has side box pleats and becomes a fuller ball gown when viewed from the side or back, ending in a luxurious train. It could easily be adjusted to a more 'mermaid' style by having the crinoline layer removed.

Bustles were added and the gown was professionally altered to fit my waist, but could easily be taken in again, and bustles removed, by a specialist. Hip size doesn't really matter since the gown flares out below the bodice.

Every gem and thread is in place. Images are in black and white as worn after alterations, and after care by a professional boutique bridal wear drycleaner.

It is in pristine condition and requires no further cleaning; however the garment bag has a rip on the side.
