The Dress

I bought this gown at a trunk show. The Swarovski crystal detailing on the shoulder straps and keyhole back are absolutely stunning, and the English Net (not chiffon, but it didn't have the option to select 'English Net') A-line skirt has a beautiful, flowing movement to it. I got so many compliments on this dress! I wore the dress only during our photos that we took before the wedding, I walked down the aisle in it, and that's it.

Alterations: I had the dress hemmed, I'm 5'4 and wore 4 shoes, taken in at the waist (28") and bust (36"), and the straps altered to tighten them slightly, as well as the back closure adjusted for a snug fit. My tailor was a dream and it fit like a glove. Since I got it at a trunk show, people had tried it on. It's very delicate, and the crystals can get snagged on the skirt if you're not careful (I always had help when I tried it on). When I bought it, there was a tiny hole in the netting on the waistline at the left side and a couple crystals were missing (I can send more pictures of this). None of this is noticeable if you're not making a point of looking for it and I loved the dress (and the price) and felt like a princess, so to me it was a great deal and totally worth it. I don't know of any other way to get a dress this beautifully unique and well-made for this price.

Preservation Method: Immediately after the wedding, the dress was professionally dry-cleaned by a place that specializes in wedding dresses. It has always been stored in its garment bag.
