The Dress

A beautiful yet comfortable form-fitting dress custom made by Alana van Heerden. The dress features an illusion neckline with hand-placed lace and flower appliqué. The top of the dress is incredibly intricate and detailed, and the lace becomes more simple as it meets the solid fabric of the skirt, with no lace or beading from the hip-down. The dress feels very secure so I did not choose to have cups sewn in to the top, however that can easily be added. For reference I am a 32B-32C bra size and did not need to wear a bra or stick-on cups

My measurements are:
Bust - 82cm
Waist - 72cm
Hips - 92cm
Height - 163cm

The dress has a slight stretch to it so will allow for slightly smaller or larger measurements. I wore shoes with a block heel that was 7cm high, and the dress fell to the floor.

There is a simple, thin belt sewn along the waist of the dress which is very flattering. The back of the dress is medium to low, cut in a wide v-shape with the same lace and appliqué detail, but in a more simple style. The back is secured with fabric covered buttons and a hidden zip. The fabric of the skirt is crepe which is very comfortable as it has a slight stretch to it. The train is about a medium length, falling around 75cm on the floor behind me. There is a button and loop underneath the dress to hook up the train for the reception. The dress comes with a detachable tulle cape with flower appliqué. The cape attaches to the shoulder of the dress with small hook and eyes which can easily be removed. Additional beading or appliqué can always be added or removed from the dress to make it your own.

The dress was professionally dry cleaned and any loose beading or stitching was repaired. The dress has been safely stored in my wardrobe and is in very good condition. This dress made me feel beautiful, and my movement wasn't restricted by it at all. Please contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
