The Dress

Pristine Galia Lahav "Gia" dress in the brand size 38. I'm normally a size 0; this dress can easily be altered to up to size 4. The Gia is a strapless A-line gown that has a dreamy multi-layered pleated silk tulle skirt, and a sweetheart-necklined corset. Both the skirt and the corset are adorned by handmade bead and crystal appliques all over, in the front, sides and back. It is a nude/blush color.

The dress was purchased from Kinsley James in the San Francisco Bay Area in July, 2018. It was worn for a few hours on my August wedding day and has since been professionally dry cleaned by wedding dress cleaning specialist Elegance Preserved.

A 2 layered custom-made Toni Federici veil, in the exact matching color to the dress, can be included for $200 (retail $550). This is a veil that has a blusher veil and a cathedral length veil on the same comb. You can wear the blusher in the front or in the back to create different looks depending on time of the day (see pics 3-5).

It has been customized with over $1000 in useful features - bustles in the back so the train can be shortened for easier moving; cups installed so you don't have to wear a bra.

The dress is designed to be sheer for an ethereal look and will look especially sheer under sunlight (see pic 4). I wore a nude colored slip under the dress, which I can include if you would like to have it. However, the slip was not sewn into the dress so you can also choose to wear the dress without the slip for a more sheer look.

Alterations

There were a few minor alterations:

1) Length of dress has been cut, but only in the front. The back (train) has been left completely original (see pics #2, #3 and #8). I'm 5' 2" and wore 4 inch heels.

2) Bustles have been installed in the back so that the train can be shortened for easier moving and dancing. See pic #6 for length when bustled and pic #7 for how the back looks when bustled.

3) Cups have been installed so that you don't need to wear a bra.

NOTE: my tailor said that a corset back can easily be installed to make this dress up to a size 4.
