The Dress

Stunning full length European lace gown + cathedral veil. Miki - 2018 collection. Purchased in January 2018 and worn in August 2018.

This gorgeous dress has a unique lace pattern - there was only a short run in this style so there aren't too many around. This dress is very comfortable to wear and fits size 6-8. It hugs the body in all the right places. I am 5'3 and wore 10cm heels so it was only taken up a couple of cms at the front. Zip + button closure at the back. Great quality lace, it holds its shape so you don't have to worry about adjusting anything when you sit or stand. Photographs really well because of all the different lace elements. The dress has been professionally drycleaned and is in excellent condition - there are no marks on the dress.

Alterations

- Hemmed a couple of cms at the front (back remains full length).
- Bustle added under the bum for the reception.
- Brought in further at the knee so it was more mermaid style. When I tried on the sample dress at the store it was much tighter around the knees than my actual dress and it looked much better.
- Slightly taken up at the shoulders.
- Slightly taken in at the sides around the bust as it puckered a little.

All alterations were done extremely well and aren't noticeable at all.
