The skirt of the dress is sheer, and I wore an ivory slip to line. You can see the difference in the sheer and slip look in some of the images.
The top is also sheer - I wore nude stick on lifters purchased online - highly recommend. The appliqué has also been moved to provide more coverage.
The underneath of the skirt is a stiff tulle so fared very well throughout the day - minimal wearing

Size 10 but slightly smaller in the waist
