The Dress
Up for sale today is an exquisite Vera Wang wedding dress, the iconic strapless mermaid dress.
The dress is made of ivory duchess satin, in an A-line style.
Pearl and silver beaded empire waist
Grosgrain bow and button details at the back
Removable bra cups for perfect fit
Excellent condition
The dress was purchased as a size ten and some slight modifications were made around the bust, bodice and length.
Here are the measurements (in inches):
Side seam - 56 with an extra inch of material at the seam if required
Front length - 51.5
Empire line - 14.5
Bust - 17.5
The dress offers an extra 3 inches at the bottom hem if required to lengthen.
I am 5ft 6” and wore the dress once, with a 2.5” inch heel
The dress was purchased in December 2010 from the Wedding Shop at Selfridges and worn in July 2011. It was professionally dry-cleaned by top wedding dress drycleaners Elias for £400 and boxed with tissue paper.
The dress comes with original Vera Wang dress bag for hanging.
