The Dress
Off-white dolce satin (top) and soft organza (bottom) strapless fit and flare gown. Ruched pleating throughout sweetheart bodice accented by a beaded sash. Floral pickups throughout skirt. Chapel train.
The dress was purchased November 10, 2011 (the wedding was August 25, 2012). It is an Essence of Australia dress (style #D1241) in off-white. The label size is 8, but it was altered down to a size 6. The belt was also attached permanently so that it would not hide the lace up in the back. My height with my wedding shoes (I wore flats) is 5 feet, 7 inches. The original purchase price, before tax and alterations was $1,215 (price is regularly $1,315 but I bought it during a trunk show special).
It was professionally dry cleaned in January 2013.
