The Dress

This dress is by Kenneth Winston's Private Label by G line, style number G 1457 from the Spring 2012 collection. It is a gorgeous strapless beaded fit and flare gown that consists of elegantly placed patterns of embroidery and bead work throughout the semi-sweetheart/straight bodice and a pleated belt design that adorns the natural waistline. The English net skirt provides soft volume to the skirt that is highlighted with a wonderful pattern of embroidery that cascades throughout the skirt and cathedral train.
The banding around the waist is stunning. It has been altered approx 1 1/2 in the bust area. There is approximately 1/2 seams so it could it altered a bit larger if necessary. It has also been hemmed for 5'3 with 4 heels. Bra pads have been added (can easily be removed) as well as hook and eye placed for bustle.
The dress is a size 10 but it seems the designer runs a bit small as my normal size is 6-8 and I wear a 34A bra.
This dress was purchased brand new and has only been worn to 4 alternation sessions, only on a carpeted area. But, don't worry, it doesn't have any bad luck - left at the alter - story attached to it.

I loved this dress so much. It was the first dress of many that I tried on but I knew immediately that this was my dress. Unfortunately, a few weeks before the wedding I suffered a serious thigh and knee injury requiring surgery and a bulky brace following. Unless, we wanted to postpone the wedding (not), I had to find a new style dress that had a fuller skirt to conceal the brace support. After the trauma (physical and emotional) leading up to the wedding, the day went off without a hitch in another wedding dress just as beautiful as this one. I'm sure yours will as well.
